GRAND BASSIN (Sacred Lake of Mauritius)
Grand Bassin, also known as Ganga Talao, is a small sacred lake located in an ancient volcanic crater at an altitude of 550 meters in the Savanne district. This place of worship holds great importance for the Hindu community of Mauritius. Each year, devotees process here to pay homage to Shiva.
TROU AUX CERFS
Trou aux Cerfs is an extinct volcano with a crater approximately 300 meters in diameter and 80 meters deep. Located on the central plateau near the town of Curepipe, this site offers breathtaking views. Surrounded by lush vegetation made up of pines and tropical species, it is a must-visit for nature lovers.
THE BLUE PENNY MUSEUM
Located at the Caudan Waterfront in Port Louis, the Blue Penny Museum is a history and art museum founded by the Mauritius Commercial Bank in 2001. Built in 1830, Eureka House is an elegant Creole residence located in Moka. This colonial-era landmark was transformed into a museum in 1986.
