SCHOOLS IN MAURITIUS

The Mauritian educational system is inspired by the British model and is divided into four levels: pre-primary, primary, secondary, and tertiary education.

Most schools and colleges are public institutions. However, the island also boasts several private schools, some of which follow the French educational system. This offers a wide range of schooling options for your children in Mauritius, including French schools that adhere to the same curriculum as in France..

Mauritius is home to three French schools : Lycée La Bourdonnais in Curepipe, founded in 1953, École du Nord in Mapou, established in 1974, and École du Centre in Moka, which opened in 1991.
